Good measurement is the responsibility of every company employee who deals with operations, maintenance or accounting. The first step to good measurement is knowledge. This course will cover most of the common measurement device types and their operation, and it will also explore some device types that may be new to some operators. This course provides two hours of professional development training.
This course will discuss what accurate measurement is and the importance of accurate measurement to the key stakeholders. The stakeholders include all levels of operations, engineering and accounting in a production or midstream company. It also includes the regulatory bodies in government. This course is approximately four hours in length and a certificate is provided at the end of the course.
This course will cover meter types, measurement systems, industry standards and applicable provincial and federal regulations in production and custody transfer of hydrocarbon liquids
The Objectives of this course is to provide a quick user guide to setup and manage the Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP) for an organization that is subject to EPAP (Companies with operations in Alberta and Saskatchewan).
While this course is focused on the regulatory reporting requirements of Western Canada, measurement Schematics can benefit any organization in viewing the produced gas and liquids from origin (typically wells) to the final sales point. Even Mid-Streamers and Pipeline companies use measurement Schematics for troubleshooting measurement and quality issues. Having and maintaining Measurement Schematics is best production practice.
